Donate the Change in Your Pockets, Too!

 

Giving cash helps Goodwill fund even more skills training, employment opportunities, and placement services for people with disabilities and other disadvantages. All cash contributions to Goodwill are fully tax deductible as provided by law. We also accept memorials and gifts in honor of your friends and loved ones and provide a thoughtful notification of your remembrance.

Stocks and Bequests and Mineral Rights! Oh My!

 

There are many tax saving opportunities for people who wish to generously support Goodwill through the donation of stocks, bonds, mineral rights, any other investment, or planned giving, through a bequest or living trust. Hazardous Materials

 

Due to hazardous material disposal laws, Goodwill cannot accept non-working refrigerators, air conditioners, or any other item that may contain freon. We also cannot accept live ammunition or medical treatment items, such as syringes and oxygen tanks.

Due to the possibility of mold, mildew, infestations and contamination, please do not donate any items that may be wet or have been exposed to insects, especially fleas. THANKS!

 

Privacy Matters

Goodwill Industries of North Louisiana is extremely grateful for your generous donations and respects your privacy. All requests by donors to remain anonymous, have their names removed from mailing lists, or to restrict telephone appeals will be honored. Private information about donors will not be made public, shared with other agencies, or sold. Also, our donors will not be subjected to excessive pressure when solicited for contributions.

Give to charities you know and trust. Goodwill is consistently ranked among the top charities that make your donations go further. Some thrift stores solicit your donations under the name of a charity, but as little as 5% of the money generated from these donations may actually go to a charity. At Goodwill, more than 90% of revenues go directly into employment and training programs for people in need.
