Boomtown
Casino Hotel and Goodwill Industries
Team up for Clothing Drive
The employees of
Boomtown Casino Hotel Bossier City and Goodwill Industries of North Louisiana
are teaming up to launch a new donation campaign active Tuesday, May 1 through Thursday,
May 31. Boomtown and Goodwill hope to emphasize the positive impact that
donating clothing and other household goods can have on communities and the
planet. Through the "Donate Movement," Goodwill® and
Boomtown are challenging people to rid their closets and homes of unwanted
clothes and put them to good use by donating them. Donations will be accepted by
Boomtown at the hotel front desk.
Boomtown team members will also be participating in the clothing drive.
When you donate the items you no longer need
to Goodwill, you are helping someone find a job, strengthening your community
and preserving the planet. Your donations also help the environment by allowing
other people to repurpose the items so they can be diverted from landfills.
Through
a partnership with Boomtown, all donations to Goodwill assist in providing job
training programs, employment placement services and other community-based
services. These programs provide assistance to people with disabilities, people
who lack education or job experience and others who are facing challenges to
finding employment. Goodwill’s mission is fulfilled through the collection and
sale of donated goods, which fund these critical programs.
Join Boomtown
and Goodwill in donating responsibly. Learn more about how donations help
Goodwill’s mission at http://donate.goodwill.org.
