How can I register for the Tour de Goodwill?

You can register for the 2008 Tour de Goodwill in any of the following ways:

• Register online at www.active.com beginning January 1, 2008.
• Pick up a form at Sportspectrum, River City Cycling, Scooter's Bike Shop, Goodwill Employment Solutions, Goodwill Administrative Offices, or any Goodwill Industries of North Louisiana store beginning April 10.
• Download a registration form and mail it to Tour de Goodwill, 800 W. 70th Street, Shreveport, LA 71106 beginning April 10.

How much does the Tour de Goodwill cost?

Register by 11:59 PM on May 1, 2008 and the Tour will cost $25. This will also guarantee you a T-shirt and ride bag with lots of goodies. After May 1, you can register online or via mail for $35 until May 9. Registrations sent through the mail must be RECEIVED by May 9. You may also register at any of our pre-Tour events. Ride Day registration starts at 6:00 AM. If you register after May 1, you may still get a T-shirt, but we cannot guarantee it or the size. Please register early.

Where does the money go?

Proceeds from the Tour de Goodwill help to fund job outreach and placement programs for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Every year, these programs, run through Goodwill Employment Solutions, help thousands of people in the top 26 parishes of North Louisiana to find employment, improve their lives, and become financially independent. Riders like you help people get and keep jobs!

You can change even more lives by fundraising online! Each Tour de Goodwill participant will receive a customizable webpage to help people with disabilities and other barriers to employment on their way to independence. I'm coming from out of town, where can I stay?

Shreveport has numerous hotels to choose from to suit your individual needs. You can find additional hotel info at the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau website.

What's in the Tour's ride bag?

If your register before May 1, your ride bag will include a T-shirt and other goodies provided by our sponsors. Past year's ride bags included: T-shirts, water bottles, stress busters, Amino Vital, CLIF bars, Kashi Cereal, Fig Newtons, coupons to local shops, and more!
