The Tour de Goodwill is
a fully SAG-supported, charity fun ride with four scenic routes
(26, 50, 72, and 100 mi) through northwest Louisiana and a 5K Run/Walk. There are rest stops roughly every 15 miles, providing water,
sports drink, fruit, our signature combo of animal crackers and
peanut butter, and other goodies. And the best part is the Tour
de Goodwill raises money for the Job Training & Placement Programs,
offered by Goodwill Employment Solutions
(GES), the Training and Employment Division of Goodwill Industries
of North Louisiana. These programs help people with disabilities
and other barriers to employment find independence through work.
Riders and Runners like you help place people in jobs!

Saturday, May 10, 2008. Start time: 8:00 AM. 5K begins at 10:00 AM. We ride and run rain or shine!
However, the Tour will be canceled in the event of severe lightning.
We are also in the process of scheduling other fun events to complement
your ride experience. Please check back frequently for additions
to our schedule.

The ride begins on the LSU-Shreveport
Campus, near the tennis courts.
Routes for the 2007 Tour de Goodwill are posted. 2008 routes may experience slight changes due to traffic and road hazards. Check
back soon for more information. A finalized map will be provided in the tour packets.

The Tour de Goodwill is a ride, not a race. It is a family-friendly
event, and we ask that you respect the safety of others. Also, our
route is open to automobile traffic. Please obey all traffice laws
and posted signs.
For your safety and convenience, the Tour de Goodwill also has excellent
SAG support, courtesy of Yokem
Toyota and River
City Cycling.
