What is the Tour de Goodwill?

The Tour de Goodwill is a fully SAG-supported, charity fun ride with scenic routes throughout northwest Louisiana. There are rest stops roughly every 15 miles, providing water, sports drink, fruit, our signature combo of animal crackers and peanut butter, and other goodies. And the best part is the Tour de Goodwill raises money for the Job Training & Placement Programs, offered by Goodwill Employment Solutions (GES), the Training and Employment Division of Goodwill Industries of North Louisiana. These programs help people with disabilities and disadvantages find independence through work. Cyclists like you help people in need get jobs!

Who Can Ride?

Anyone can ride in the Tour de Goodwill. All you need is a bicycle and a helmet. If you're under 18, you also need your parents' permission. Under 16? You're in luck, you ride for free! However, you must be accompanied by an adult during the Tour de Goodwill.

When is the Tour de Goodwill?

October 23, 2010. Start time: 8:00 AM. We ride rain or shine! However, the Tour will be canceled in the event of severe lightning. Changes to the start time will be communicated to participants via email, text message (if opted-in) and posted on the website. Please check back frequently for changes to our schedule.

Where is the Tour de Goodwill?

The ride begins on the LSU-Shreveport Campus, near the tennis courts. Routes for the 2008 Tour de Goodwill are posted. 2010 routes may change due to rest stop availability, traffic and road hazards. What Else Do I Need to Know?

Please obey all traffice laws and posted signs. For your safety and convenience, the Tour de Goodwill also has SAG (Support & Gear) vehicles, courtesy of Yokem Toyota.
