Local heroes from Northwest
Louisiana helped change thousands of lives for the better over the last
four years. These volunteers have helped to provide job training and job
placement programs for thousands throughout the top 26 parishes of Louisiana.
From Shreveport to Monroe and on down to Alexandria, people with disabilities
and other barriers to employment were given a giant hand-up towards self-sufficiency,
all thanks to dedicated volunteer heroes.
These volunteers helped over
the course of hundreds of miles in Caddo and DeSoto parishes in LA and
Panola County, TX. From planning, advertising, registration, and helping
with the Tour de Goodwill logistics, dedicated community members helped
to raise over $15,000 each alone to help fund job training and job
placement for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment.
And the 2008 Tour de Goodwill
will need their support again. Volunteer and fundraising opportunities
